Dur is an artist, professional coach, an accomplished leader, with over a decade of experience specializing in communication, brand development, and arts and culture management. She has worked with a diverse range of creatives, cultural producers, and artists throughout her career, contributing significantly to the growth of the cultural sector in Saudi Arabia. Recognized for her contributions with the Women Excellence Awards -Government Sector by Arabian Business in 2022, she has served on the board of the Diriyah Biennale Foundation and is a member of The Page Society.

Dur has a proven track record of being a highly effective leader, experienced with establishing and leading communication and creative teams in the public sector, she is also skilled at managing complex and nationwide project.

As the first Deputy Minister for Communications and Media for the Ministry of Culture (MoC), Dur oversaw the development and execution of the MoC’s communication and brand strategy both locally and internationally. She also oversaw the strategic communication, branding and communication delivery of all 11 cultural commissions, supervising a team of more than 100 employees. She orchestrated the Ministry’s inauguration event in 2019 and led many national projects including the Saudi participation at the Dubai 2020 Expo and the development of all the cultural collaterals for the country’s G20 Summit Presidency.

She has also led nationwide cultural initiatives such as the National Cultural Awards, the Cultural Year of Saudi Coffee 2022, and communications of major art exhibitions both locally and internationally including Diriyah Contemporary Arts Biennale and the multiple participations of Saudi Arabia in Venice Biennale.

In addition to her previous role at the MoC, Dur now works as an independent communication and culture advisor for several entities, where she advises on arts and culture management, strategic communication, branding, and oversees strategic planning, establishment, operations, and delivery.

Dur continuously provides strategic advice to senior officials on a wide range of initiatives, and continues to serve as a jury and committee member on various nationwide selection and advisory committees.

Leveraging her extensive experience in leadership, communication, personal and corporate branding, Dur provides impactful coaching to her clients helping them to effectively communicate and fulfil their professional potential.

Parallel to her executive career, Dur is a conceptual artist, integrating her diverse experiences into her artwork.

Dur has a strong academic background with two master's degrees. She is a Georgetown University graduate, with a master’s degree in Communication, Culture and Technology and has a second master’s in Arts and Cultural Enterprise from Central Saint Martins at the University of Arts London. She also holds a double major bachelor’s degree from Al Yamamah University in Management Information Systems and Marketing.
